Objectives

RAVTE´s Objectives

RAVTE´s objectives focus on the demand of its member institutions with respect to national and regional context.

Our main objectives are:

to enhance vocational teacher education (including institutional development)
to improve research activities on vocational education and to establish it as a scientific discipline
to foster regionalisation processes and cooperation

RAVTE’s members are leading institutions involved in vocational teacher education and research on vocational education.

Regional cooperation and integration

Due to its regional structure, RAVTE cooperates with regional or international institutions and organisations.

Potential cooperation partners are:

academic and non-academic teacher training institutions and universities in ASEAN and throughout Asia
teacher training institutions and universities from overseas
regional organisations such as SEAMEO VOCTECH, UNESCO Regional Office, ASEAN University Network (AUN) and Columbo Plan Staff College for Technicians Education (CPSC)
international donor organisations and foundations actively involved in the development of the TVET sector in Asia

RAVTE is a regional non-profit organisation focussing on the needs and interests of East and Southeast Asian countries.
